ABOUT VARIETY MIDWEST GERALDTON

Midwest Geraldton Branch is a sub branch of Tent 74 (Perth) and commenced in 1993 when local bashers and business proprietors met to organise event based functions to fundraise for children in the Midwest region. The Branch now employs a regional coordinator part time, but could not operate without the  generosity and goodwill of its sponsors, members and volunteers who devote their time and energy to helping children in the Midwest region.

Midwest Geraldton Branch  success is due to our volunteers extraordinary efforts, whether they participate in our various fundraising events or are one of our many businesses who come on board as sponsors to alleviate costs to the organisation. Our branch is in a very unique situation in that we achieve such high standards with very little outlay.

Our major fundraising events for 2012 include the a new Mystery Fligh, our 4WD Wild West Getaway & Melbourne Cup Sweep.  Other smaller fundraisers are held through out the year with shed functions for members and supporters as well as  a Family Wheelchair Basketball Challenge Cup and our first Santa Fun Run. 

Monies raised through out the year are put back into the community and the Midwest Region through our Grants Program, with over $200,000 granted back to individuals and organisation since October 2011.
